How many lovers have sworn to die for one another?
How many through the ages have tried to express the depth of their love by promising the moon, or wanted to adorn their love with a necklace of stars, or scatter stardust in their hair?
My beloved does all these things. His love is true, perfect and everlasting. He puts moonlight in my hair and stars in my eyes; He winks at me from heaven, wooing me with His inimitable beauty. He sprinkles me with starlight, lifting me into spiritual realms of awe and wonder. He longs for me as a jealous lover desirous of spending every moment eternally with me.
He created everything for me: The stars, and the planets too, and even the endless universes that twinkle in the night. He is the sweet smell of the summer air and the gentle night breeze laden with the fragrance of His creation; He created the blazing beauty of every sunrise and sunset for me. Nothing ever created by mortal hands compares with the beauty of my Beloved. His love is in the wind, the clouds, the exquisite beauty of every bird and flower.
He will not love me less tomorrow, next year or ever than He does right now. His love will never grow cold or distant; He will never forsake me for another.
In this Oneness of indescribable love, I am one with Him: The stars, the moon, the unwinking planets rolling endlessly; - all are there for my enjoyment as I experience His love in the shimmering beauty of this world He created for me. I am made beautiful by His love, and I am precious in His sight, for I am His treasure created for His love. I am a reflection of His love, for I am His beloved.
He sings to me, He covers me in the pure whiteness of His own purity. He adorns me with the precious jewels of heaven.
He enfolds me in the sweet peace of His everlasting presence. He whispers sweetly in my spirit, "I have loved you with an everlasting love. I loved you so much, I was willing to die for you so that we could be together for eternity. You are my beloved, and now I know that my beloved loves Me".
In oneness of spirit, my soul sings the words He has longed to hear "Jesus, I love you." |
